Pediatrician Day

Pediatrician Day

Today is International day of Pediatricians. This day on the medical calendar was specially chosen on November 20th, because it was on this day in 1959 that the United Nations adopted the Declaration on the Rights of a Child, and the right to health is one of the fundamental rights of a human regardless of age, gender, nationality, religion or citizenship.

Pediatric Service, with several pediatric departments, is one of the cornerstones of “Arabkir” Medical Complex. Our pediatric team is cooperating with foreign colleagues, always guided by the best examples of international experience.

The Department of Pediatrics N2 of YSMU is based in “Arabkir” MC and is headed by professor Ashot Alexander Sargsyan. Professor Gayane G. Amaryan, Associate Professors Sergey G. Sargsyan, Hasmik G. Sargsyan and Nune G. Mkrtchyan teach in the Department as well. Today, young pediatricians who studied and trained under the leadership of our highly qualified specialists, are fulfilling their professional mission both in “Arabkir” MC and in other medical institutions of the republic.

The Institute of Child and Adolescent Health is located in “Arabkir” MC and is headed by Sergey Gerasim Sargsyan. The Institute conducts scientific-practical research, educational and publishing programs, thus professionally helping all pediatricians in the republic.

Congratulations, dear pediatricians,

Your dedication is priceless, your love towards your profession and work is love towards humanity. Thank you! Stay safe and keep our children healthy.
